Model: Flower frame 1 with Dice assembly (instructions/diagrams from the book "Kusudama Origami" by Tomoko Fuse)
My boyfriend recently got me 2 of Tomoko Fuse's origami books (Kusudama Origami, and Floral Origami Globes), and I've been folding like crazy since.
I'm planning to make a series of kusudamas, each with a seasonal theme: summer, fall, winter, and spring. Apparently I'm starting with winter.
The top (largest) part was folded using 5x5cm paper, so the resulting kusudama is about...1.5 inches tall/wide? The pattern in the frame of the picture was made by scanning some yuzen chiyogami paper (I'm nutty for that stuff) and using the outline as an overlay on Photoshop.
..............iwish i could fold like that!! unlike plymer clay it isnt rare to find paper..... XD all i can fold is a crane swan thing and i still have 985 left to go -.- ill take a piicy though when im done though!! 0.0 i wonder if there would be enough space to sleep.

Practice helps a LOT. I folded 1000 cranes a few years back, and now I can probably make them with my eyes closed or something. Soo, good luck with yours, keep at it!
(And it'll probably be really amusing to see the cranes taking over your room/house XD)
